Morelia Aqueduct
253 pink-stone arches stretching 1.7 km across the eastern city.
About this experience
Morelia Aqueduct
Completed in 1789 to bring fresh water from the springs of Las Fuentes to the city's fountains, the Aqueduct is a Morelia icon. Its 253 arches reach 9 metres high and look spectacular when illuminated at night.
Walk the parallel calzada lined with ash trees and bronze busts, or sit at one of the open-air cafés that look directly onto the arches.
Insider tips
- Bring a wide-angle lens — you'll want the full row of arches in frame.
